FAQs

Why does tuition remain the same for the months ADC is closed for vacations (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break)?

Tuition is based on the entire dance program, which is split into even monthly payments. Tuition is not based on how many classes are held per month.

Why does my child need to attend class even if he/she is injured?

Dancers with a lower body injury can still execute upper body movements, and vice versa. Dancers can also learn a lot by watching the execution of technique on their classmates and listening to critiques from the instructors.

My dancer is new to dance but is a teenager, why can’t she be in jazz class with her friends?

Absolute Dance Company evaluates dancers based on their ability, not age. A dancer who is new to dance would not have the foundation that an upper level dancer has. The new dancer would need a class that teaches the basic fundamentals of jazz. Think about it in these terms: Would you put a person who is new to football on the Varsity Football team? Would you let your child skip Algebra I and start out in Algebra 2? You wouldn’t, because they would be lost, lose confidence in their abilities, become discouraged and possibly quit all together. Absolute Dance Company prides itself on its ability to lift and encourage our dancers, building their confidence and pride in themselves. We will not put a dancer in a class that they are not ready for.

Why can't I come into the classroom during class to watch my child?

It is distracting to both students and instructors to have parents in the studio room. It is important for students to learn to work independently and with their instructor. You may always observe your child's progress through our viewing windows in Studio A and during Observation Week.

Why does my child need to follow a dress code for every class?

A dress code allows instructors to see the dancer's body alignment and positioning. It helps create a professional environment in every class. It allows students to learn discipline and focus their energy on training.

Whom do I contact if I have a question about my child's class placement?

Please contact the owner, Brandie Andrews, with any questions. We are always happy to make appointments to discuss your child.

Why would Absolute Dance Company’s Pre Professional Program benefit my child?

The Pre Professional Program is designed for our dancers who plan to pursue dance following high school, whether dancing in college, moving to a city to take classes and audition or auditioning for a company. The Pre Professional Program is a mentorship program individualized for each dancer with a training schedule focused on preparing dancers for their upcoming journey. We will have a weekly meeting to discuss progress, goals, focuses, research, choreography planning and preparation for college or company auditions. These dancers will be able to talk to some of the leading dancers and choreographers in the industry about the path they took. If your dancer is looking to dance beyond high school, this it the program for them.

Do you have a showcase every year?

Yes, Absolute Dance Company holds a showcase every summer at Magnificat High School.

We’ll be on vacation during the showcase, can my dancer still take class?

Yes. Your dancer can still train with the class and learn the showcase routine and is able to purchase a costume if he/she would like.

Who should I talk to if I have a question about my tuition statement?

Please contact our office managers Cari Main and Shelly Studier at AbsoluteDanceOffice@gmail.com.
