2021 Summer Intensive

  • Absolute Dance Company’s Summer Dance Intensive was created for Intermediate to Advanced Level dancers.

  • Absolute Dance Company’s Summer Dance Intensive will run from Monday, July 19th through Friday, July 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

  • Dancers must pre register through our online registration system: Click Here To Register.

  • Our intensive will focus on:

    • Improvisation skills and phrase work with Jon Bond of NDT

    • Improvisation skills, contemporary movement and combinations with Sean Howe of Batsheva Dance Company, Alexa Anderson of SYTYCD, Douglas Burkhardt of Sleep No More, Nicole Hennington of GroundWorks DanceTheater and Alex Grabowski of Elite Dance Academy

    • Technique and corresponding combinations with Jessica Brutlag and Alyssa Brutlag of Company C Dance Club and Betsie Schaeffer of Verb Ballets

  • Wristbands will be awarded to dancers who stand out to the faculty.

  • Finale: On Friday, July 23rd all dancers will perform in our finale. Jon Bond, Alexa Anderson, Sean Howe and, Absolute Dance Company Owner, Brandie Andrews will each select a student who stood out to them and will present them with an Absolute Dance Company 2022 Summer Dance Intensive Scholarship.

  • Lunch: Dancers are not permitted to bring outside food into our facility. The Emerald Event Center will offer a catered lunch each day. Dancers are welcome to select this option when enrolling in the intensive. Dancers who have not purchased the catered lunch are welcome to eat off campus or in their hotel rooms.

    Our intensive will be held at The Emerald Event Center in Avon, Ohio. Absolute Dance Company has reserved a block of rooms for our dancers who are joining us from out of town. Please book early as this block is limited.

    Room Rate: $99.00 per night. Complimentary Breakfast.

    Dance Intensive Tuition without Lunch Provided: $500.00

    Dance Intensive Tuition with Lunch Provided each day by The Emerald Event Center: $575.00

  • Absolute Dance Company’s Summer Intensive students are eligible for private lessons and solo choreography with Absolute Dance Company’s Summer Intensive Faculty. Requests will be processed in the order that they are received.
